Hi! My name is Ashton Maddox and I’m a graphic designer. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, a city renowned for its vibrant arts scene and creative spirit. Growing up surrounded by creatives and art patrons, ignited a lifelong passion for crafting beautiful and impactful designs.

I have loved to create for as long as I can remember; I would get in trouble for coloring too much at pre-school; I would wind down with HGTV after a long day of Kindergarten, and I was 10 years old when I decided that graphic design would be my career.

In high school, I was responsible for designing our youth group programs, flyers and website. I served as the President of the Timberwolf Advertising Agency and as the design editor for the yearbook and I took all my friends’ senior photos including my husband’s.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design at the University of North Texas, with minors in Art History and Business Management. While my education provided so much technical knowledge, my financial requirement to work through college gave me valuable real world experience. I worked as a designer all through my college experience both on and off campus. I learned how to maintain an in-house brand, create brand identities for new companies and work with external clients. While design has always been my focus, my experiences also exposed me to so many other facets of marketing and development including strategy, photography, video editing, copy writing, event planning and client interaction.

I have been working as a designer for the last eight years and currently, I serve as the
Graphic Arts & Design Manager at Springs Rescue Mission, where I oversee
the design of all digital and print materials.

In 2020 I left Texas behind and headed for the Rocky Mountains. In my little cabin in the mountains you can find me painting, hiking and dabbling in photography and videography. Living just down the street from Green Mountain Falls, a thriving art community, continuously fuels my creative inspiration. If you ever find yourself in the area, I highly recommend experiencing the Green Box Arts Festival and enjoying the chips and salsa at Cantina Verde.
